What we store in your browser, which is less than most sites and all of it necessary.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party trackers of any kind. Nothing on this site follows you to another one. The only things stored in your browser are the two below, both required for the site to work at all.
When you sign in, our authentication provider stores a session token in your browser's local storage. Without it you would be signed out on every page load. It is removed when you sign out.
If you enter a town or ZIP on the landing page before creating an account, we hold it in session storage so it can prefill your profile afterwards — otherwise you would have to type it a second time. It is cleared as soon as it has been used, and always when you close the tab.
Clearing site data in your browser removes both, which will sign you out but do no other harm. Blocking storage for this site entirely will prevent you from staying signed in.
What we collect on the server is a separate matter, covered in the privacy policy.
