Terms of service
The agreement between you and Anderson IdeaWorks, LLC for using MakerNeighbor.
You need to be 16 or older and give accurate information about yourself. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself.
Your content stays yours. You give us permission to store and display it to the members it is meant for — that is what makes the site work — and nothing more. We do not claim ownership and will not license your photos or designs to anyone else.
Post only what you have the right to post, and follow the community guidelines. Sharing another member's exact address is grounds for immediate removal.
This is the part worth reading twice. MakerNeighbor introduces neighbors; it does not vet them. We do not run background checks, we do not verify that anyone owns the tools they list, and we do not supervise what happens once you meet.
Arrangements you make — borrowing a tool, paying for a print, working in someone's workshop — are between you and that person. Any damage, injury, loss or dispute arising from them is likewise between you. Use your judgement about who you invite over and whose garage you walk into.
You can delete your account whenever you like, from your profile page. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines, and we will say why unless doing so would put someone at risk.
MakerNeighbor is provided as-is, without warranty. It is a small project run by one person: it may go down, lose data, or change. To the extent the law allows, Anderson IdeaWorks, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
